Overseas Update: Jordan Swing

Former UAB guard and Birmingham native Jordan Swing has played the last three seasons overseas in Israel. The Vestavia Hills High School graduate began the 2019-20 season with Maccabi Rishon of the Israeli Basketball Premier League (aka Winner League). The team is located in Israel's fourth largest city, Rishon LeZion which is five miles south of Tel Aviv. Swing averaged 11.9 points per game during the fall EuroCup and 12.0 points per game during the regular season.
Swing moved on to Maccabi Hunter Haifa, also of the Winner League, on Feb. 26, 2020 where he played in one game, making the start and scoring 10 points in Haifa's 107-85 victory over Eliat on Mar. 7. The league suspended play on March 17th due to the coronavirus pandemic but is planning on resuming play on June 20.
Swing started his professional career with the Canton Charge of the NBA Development League during the 2014-15 season. From there, he joined the Lakeside Lightning in Perth, Australia for the 2015 State Basketball League season.
In the summer of 2015, Swing signed with signed with Unión Financiera Baloncesto Oviedo of the Spanish LEB Oro league. In January 2016, he signed with CAI Zaragoza of the Liga ACB, the top division in Spain.
The following year, Swing signed with Limburg United of the Belgian League before returning to Spain in with Gipuzkoa Basket of the Liga ACB. In July 2018, Swing started his career in Israel when he signed with Hapoel Be'er Sheva of the Israeli Premier League.
After playing one season at WKU, Swing transferred to UAB in July 2010. As a Blazer, he surpassed 1,000 career points and recorded over 50 double-figure scoring games in three seasons.
