2021 Signing Class: Logan Braunschweig

BIRMINGHAM — The UAB baseball program and head coach Perry Roth have announced the official signing of infielder Logan Braunschweig to the Blazers' 2021 class.
"Logan will fit right in with the type of players who have flourished in our program," said Roth. "He is an athletic quick twitch left-handed hitter who can really run. He's a versatile runner who can play multiple positions on defense. Logan has the ability to cover a lot of ground both on the infield and in the outfield. He has the same skill set of a Jess Davis and Tyler Tolbert."
Braunschweig has prepped at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Ala. where he played for head coach Patrick Hamrick. During the 2020 season, he played in 17 games, hitting .341 with seven RBIs and eight stolen bases.
During the summer, Braunschweig played for TPL National, where he was named to the All-Region South East Under Armour team.
"He comes out of the very good Thompson HS baseball program having been Coached by Pat Hamrick and flourishing with TPL and Travis Coleman in the summer," added Roth. "He is a very good student and a strong competitor whose motor will make him successful in Conference USA. We are fortunate that he is part of the Blazer Baseball Family."
