UAB Announces Multimedia Rights Deal With Learfield IMG College

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Department of Athletics has announced a long-term extension with Learfield IMG College, which will serve as the exclusive multimedia rights holder for UAB Athletics. An industry leader, Learfield IMG College has a strong presence in the college athletics landscape, managing multimedia and sponsorship rights for collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas located across the country.
"We are excited to continue our strategic relationship with Learfield IMG College," said UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram. "The company plays an integral role in our efforts to drive additional revenue that allows us to provide a world-class experience for our student-athletes, and position the UAB brand for continued growth."
Under this relationship, Learfield IMG College will deliver innovative opportunities for corporate brands and Blazer fans to engage with UAB Athletics through digital and broadcast platforms, promotions at athletics contests, signage opportunities, and other advertising assets at home events.
"Having a strong multimedia rights partner is critically important to our day-to-day operation, and I appreciate the fact that Learfield IMG College is committed to being part of what we are building here at UAB. I would also like to thank our consultant, Dan Gale of the Leona Marketing Group, for his support and valued research throughout this process.
