Men's Golf Continues Play at Palmetto Intercollegiate

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Heading into the second tournament of the spring season, the UAB men's golf team travels to Aiken, S.C., for the Palmetto Intercollegiate March 5-6.

Hosted by USC-Aiken, the 18-team field will compete on the Par-71, 6,695-yard Palmetto Golf Course.

"As the season progresses, we understand the significance of each tournament and have full confidence in our guys to maintain their focus while competing at a high level," head coach Mike Wilson said.

The Blazers lineup will feature the same five from last month's Gator Invitational: William Walker, R.J. Keur, Murray Naysmith, John Hayden and John Racciatti.

Following a strong final round score of five under 65 at the Gator Invitational and a 12th place finish, Walker vaulted into the GolfStat.com top-250 rankings at No. 214.

Keur (96th nationally) has also been a consistent force all season – all 18 of his rounds have counted – and leads the team with a 71.1 stroke average.
