UAB Football to Host Dragon Egg Hunt on Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Join the UAB football team as it hosts Birmingham’s first Dragon Egg Hunt on the UAB Campus Green this Saturday, April 8. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the egg hunt starts at 9 a.m.
The Campus Green will be covered with 2,017 eggs, which includes 100 special golden eggs with UAB Football prizes inside. Children ages 12 and under are invited to participate in the egg hunt and all ages are welcomed to enjoy in the fun.
In addition to the egg hunt, children can have their face painted, visit with Blaze, and take photos with UAB Football players and staff. There will also be giveaways, including two UAB Football VIP packages, inflatables, snacks, food trucks, and more.
“Birmingham has been so instrumental in the return of UAB Football and the Dragon Egg Hunt is just one more way to say thank you to our loyal fans,” said Head Coach Bill Clark. “We encourage families to attend this free egg hunt and enjoy the event filled with UAB prizes as we look ahead to September 2.”
There will be opportunities at the event to purchase 2017 UAB Football season tickets, as well as apparel and accessories. After the Dragon Egg Hunt, which concludes at 10 a.m., fans are encouraged to join Blazer Softball and Baseball as they host Family Day that afternoon. Softball will take on Louisiana Tech at 1 p.m. at Mary Bowers Field, while baseball hosts Marshall at 2 p.m. at Young Memorial Field.
Season tickets are on sale starting as low as $99. Seat allocations for the 2017 season begin next week and season ticket holders will be contacted by the Blazer Boosters office to set up an appointment. Click here to purchase your season tickets.
