BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men’s tennis team hosts UAH in doubleheader action on Friday at the Lakeshore Tennis Center. The pair of matches are set to begin at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

"We are looking forward to our doubleheader with UAH. Tim Dollman hsa been a standout at the No. 2 spot going 2-0. Stefan Gonzales will be back in the lineup after missing last match due to playing Davis Cup for his country while Tom El Safadi may also see action."
Last time vs. UAH
Last April, the Blazers swept the Chargers in a pair of matches last season. UAB defeated UAH 4-0 in the first match and 5-0 in the second. Returners Christian Coetzee and Eric Komati held an unblemished record against he Chargers, while Kenton Parton led in both matches.
C-USA Standings
The Blazers (2-0) are one of just two undefeated teams remaining in the league – they rank second behind Old Dominion’s 5-0 record.
In singles, senior Eric Komati remains undefeated on court No. 1, while freshman Tim Dollman is also perfect on court No. 2. On court No. 5, Anru Fourie also remains perfect, 2-0.
In doubles play, four UAB tandems remain undefeated. On court one, the Blazers have been represented by Coetzee/Komati and Dollman/Gonzales, both 1-0. On court three, Dollman/El Safadi and Komati/Manchev are both 1-0, as well. Fourie and Parton are 1-1 on court two, the only doubles tandem to play multiple matches together.
Roster Breakdown
UAB returns six players from last season’s team that made it to the C-USA Championship and welcomes six newcomers to its team this spring. The Blazers’ have experience in their lineup with Christian Coetzee and Eric Komati, who both enter their senior seasons.
