BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Dominika Hrabalova has signed a National Letter of Intent with the UAB women’s tennis team, head coach Mark Tjia announced Monday.
Hrabalova was previously ranked No. 118 on the Tennis Europe Rankings and 21st in the Czech Republic. She was a runner-up in doubles on the Czech Republic National Championship team and has played over 800 matches in nine seasons.
Additionally, Hrabalova has competed in over 100 matches on the European Circuit and played in the on the highest Czech Republic junior team division.
"We couldn't be more excited to announce that Dominika is going to be a Blazer next fall,” Tjia said. “We have to replace some players who have been very important to our program and it is our belief that Dominika will really help toward filling that void. She will be coming here with a great deal of international competitive experience and she has been competing at a high level for a very long time now."
