BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB baseball team is back on the field for the fifth straight day Tuesday when Alabama A&M visits Young Memorial Field for a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. (CT).
After taking two out of three games at Marshall over the weekend in Conference USA play, UAB was back in action Monday to conclude its halted game with Alabama. The Blazers fell 10-6 to finish a game that was started back on March 25 at Regions Park.
UAB is now 18-16 overall, while Alabama A&M comes into Tuesday's doubleheader with a record of 10-17. Alabama A&M salvaged the final game of its weekend SWAC series Sunday at Alcorn State with a 17-11 victory to avoid a sweep.
The Blazers and Bulldogs have met just four times previously with each meeting coming in the past two seasons. UAB has won all four of those contests, including two wins last season -- a 7-2 victory in Huntsville and a 15-2 win in Birmingham.
The teams were scheduled to meet earlier this season in Huntsville, but that game was rained out on Feb. 25. It was later rescheduled as part of Tuesday's doubleheader.

Following Tuesday's doubleheader, UAB is off until Friday night when the Blazers return to C-USA play with the first game of a three-game series on the road at Southern Miss.
