Huffman Named Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Reggie Huffman, a junior forward on the UAB men's basketball team, has been named this week's UAB Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Huffman is averaging 7.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season, while also excelling in the classroom.
Huffman is playing his first season with the Blazers. Last season, the Birmingham native was an NJCAA All-American while playing at Western Oklahoma CC.
A communications major, Huffman has made 19 starts for the Blazers this season and ranks second on the team in rebounding with 136.
The Blazers are currently 16-7 (6-2 C-USA) on the year and will travel to play Rice on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. before returning home to host Memphis, the top-ranked team in the nation, on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
