Ernest Little Leaves UAB Men's Basketball Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ernest Little has left the UAB men's basketball team, citing personal reasons, UAB head coach Mike Anderson announced Tuesday. Little, a 6-9, 230-pound junior forward from Mobile, Ala., averaged 3.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for the Blazers in 2004-05.

Anderson's club returns three starters and nine letterwinners from last year's 22-11 team which made its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance. The Blazers begin practice for the 2005-06 season Friday with Midnite Madness at Bartow Arena. Gates open at 8 p.m. CT with scrimmages for both the men's and women's basketball teams beginning at 10 p.m. CT.
