Baseball Team To Host Fifth-Ranked Auburn

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will host fifth-ranked Auburn Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Young Memorial Field.
UAB (21-10, 6-5 Conference USA) is coming off a 3-2 Conference USA loss at Houston last Sunday. The Cougars swept the three-game series against the Blazers.
The Blazer pitching staff is holding opponents to a .231 batting average, which ranks second in Conference USA, and holds a 3.44 ERA, which places third in the league.
Auburn (27-7, 9-3 Southeastern Conference) is coming off a 7-6 victory over Alabama last Sunday in Southeastern Conference play at Plainsman Park. The Tigers took two games out of the three-game set with the Crimson Tide. Auburn is ranked fifth by Baseball America and The Sports Weekly/ESPN coaches poll, eighth in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll and 10th by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 3-12, children 2 and under are admitted free and UAB students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
