The UAB women's soccer team continues its season tomorrow as they travel across town to take on Birmingham-Southern in a non-conference match. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the BSC Soccer Field.
This marks the second time in school history the two teams have played. During the first meeting in 1996, the Blazers shutout the Panthers 6-0 at West Campus Field.
The Blazers are 2-6 on the year and are coming off a close 2-0 loss to No. 1 ranked North Carolina. Freshman forward Tara Kidwell (Leesburg, Va.) leads UAB in goals with three and in points with eight. Junior forward Adrienne Suffridge (Columbia, S.C.) and senior forward Denise Peters (Jacksonville, Ala.) each have two goals on the season.
Birmingham-Southern is 3-2-1, having won two straight matches. The Panthers Kyron Oddsbottier has scored five goals and leads the team in points with 11.
The Blazers return to C-USA action on Sunday, Oct. 7 as they host Louisville at 1:00 p.m. at West Campus Field.
