BIRMINGHAM, Ala.... UAB's Bell Aquatic Center will play host to an Olympic Synchronized Swimming Clinic over the weekend. Tuesday Middough, a member of the 2000 Olympic Synchronized Swimming Team, will lead the Clinic. The Clinic will be held from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. until noon Sunday.
The Clinic is part of the National Clinic Network for United States Synchronized Swimming, Inc. Four separate sites, one for each zone, are chosen to play host to the clinics. UAB was chosen to host the south zone.
The Clinic will attract elite swimmers and their coaches from the south zone, who come to learn from an Olympian.
"We are very pleased to have been selected to host," said UAB head synchronized swimming coach Amy O'Donnell. "We are excited to have an Olympian come here to UAB."
